If you’re looking for a new bar to check out that’s small and super exclusive, we’ve got you covered. This week we’re talking about Milk Room, the 8-seat rare spirits bar located on the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Association. Milk Room serves spirit-forward cocktails that utilize extremely rare, vintage spirits and ingredients that are hard to find, according to their website. Getting into this exclusive Michigan Avenue hotspot is not a task for those on a budget - since it is a micro-bar with only 8 seats, Milk Room takes reservations via their website for 1-2 people at a time, and making a reservation alone is $50. But from what Anastasia has told us, it’s worth the price. Anastasia recommends any of their drinks with whiskey, but their refined menu of shared plates made by Executive Chef Pete Coenen is to die for if you’re looking to enjoy some amazing food while you sip and enjoy the ambiance of this former speakeasy. Two seats are left for walk-ins if you decide to go at the last minute, so whether it’s a planned evening of exclusivity or a spur of the moment splurge, we highly recommend hitting this place up. And if you see Anastasia, don’t hesitate to say hi. There are only 8 seats after all, and if you’re dressed as well as I know all you fashionistas always are, she is bound to take notice. Feel like a VIP by hitting up this amazing local find - because treating yourself is #soanastasia.
