This week we wanted to focus on a restaurant that shares Anastasia's passion for eating, shopping, and supporting local! We are featuring one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago this week, Lula Café.  Lula Café is located at 2537 N. Kedzie in Logan Square and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Besides their AMAZING food, what makes Lula Café one of our favorites is that they partner with local farms, roasters, and other local vendors.  Some of their local partners are Metric Coffee, Nichols Farm and Orchard, City Farm Chicago, and Publican Quality Bread.  Their menu is based on what is seasonally available, which means that the menu is always rotating.  Some of our favorites are The Lox Plate, The Royale (seasonal breakfast sandwich), The Golden Beet Salad, and The Classic Lula ’99 Bloody Mary.  They also offer a farm dinner series on Monday nights for $44.  The farm dinner started around early 2001 as a way to incorporate chef and owner Jason Hammel’s Saturday farmers’ market impulse buys.  The Lula team comes up with an improvised menu each week with a unique appetizer, entrée, and dessert.  Since they started in 2001 they have never served the same thing twice, this a promise to locals and regulars that they can expect something new every week.  Go give Lula Café a try, we promise that you will not be disappointed!
