Sewing 101 Monday Night Virtually or In Person
In this class you will learn all of the basic stitches and techniques including how to thread sewing machine and wind a bobbin. In this class series you will have a sample binder of personal seam and technique samples, to take with you that will have everything you have learned in it ! You can reference this when you are working on a project and forget exactly what the difference between and edge stitch and a top stitch is. Students will build skills by learning fundamental seams and finishes used in modern day garment construction. This class is taught as an instructional class. You will be walked though all the techniques step by step as a small group. Classes are no more than 6 people. On the last day we will go over a commercial pattern and start working on your project.
This class is limited to 6 people in person so make sure to sign up early! The studio is spaced out so that social distancing is followed. You must follow all regulations by wearing a face mask at all time and using hand sanitizer and keeping your space wiped down. Everyone will have a special station with a sewing machine and a serger.
Virtual students will need to supply their own sewing space and sewing machine. Along with fabric and small notions. The cost of class is discounted to reflect this. If you have a serger that would be awesome! If you do not that is ok and you can zig zag or over cast when the serger is used.
