Flat Pattern Clothing Design 3 - Advanced Creative Design

In Flat Pattern Clothing Design 3 - advanced creative design, we further develop your pattern drafting skills to think outside of the box. In this class we will push your creative skills mixed with your pattern drafting skills to create unique pieces. We will use the basis of things we have already covered in past classes but we will be taking them to the next level. Each week we will cover selected topics and then you will pattern draft them and sew them up out of muslin. By the end of this class you will have 6 advanced styles that you have pattern drafted and sewn out of muslin. 

Each week we will focus on a specific garment to design by flat pattern and then sew it up out of muslin to test it out. We will cover tops, skirts, dresses, pants and jackets. You will be able to add your own design flair to all of the styles that we create.

 Day- Thursday

Time- 6:15pm-9:15pm

We will meet once a week for 6 weeks

Prerequisite is Flat Pattern Clothing Design 1 & Flat Pattern Clothing Design 2 or basic pattern drafting skills that are equivalent to design 1 & 2

Supply List

10 yards of muslin 

 4 invisible zippers that are 22’’ or longer

All other supplies needed to pattern draft are included in the class to use during class.
