Streetwear sewing class
Streetwear is a style of casual clothing. Casual, comfortable pieces such as jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and other loose comfortable fitting pieces. Streetwear has become so popular that it is now on the runway! It is not just for skaters, surfers, hip hoppers and punks anymore. The new hybrid is called Athleisure. Where sportswear meets streetwear.
In this class we will sew up all of the classic streetwear/athleisure pieces. We will work on a new piece each week. In this class you will develop the skills needed to design and sew these pieces. We will use sergers, straight stitch, cover stitch and embroidery machines.
All patterns, fabrics, and supplies are included. Just show up and sew!
Joggers
We will cover all of the details like knit cuffs, pockets on knits, elastic/drawstring waistband, using the serger to sew & all of the details.
T-shirt
We will take this t shirt one step further with binding at the back neck and using twin needles to finish the neck binding along with cover stitching the hems. We will also embroider an image of logo of your choice.
Hoodie
Design your own hoodie with extra style lines and details. We will add a separating zipper, pockets, a hood, knit cuffs and other finishing details
Casual shorts
Think outside the box for these. We will be following the latest runway trends for these details.
Beanie
Design your own beanie and add an embroidery to it using the embroidery machine.
Classic crewneck sweatshirt
A staple to any wardrobe. You will have the opportunity to add your own flair to this sweatshirt. Think about trims, pockets, embroidery and other design details.
Duration - 6 weeks
Time - 6-9pm
Day - Wednesday
Our classes are limited in size (and frequently sell out!). Each person has a station with a sewing machine reserved for them, so no refunds are offered on classes. If you miss a class, video tutorials will be provided that you can work through in your own time. If you know you'll be missing a class in advance, contact us and we'll see if there's a seat available in a nearby session you could attend.
