This is a one day class that goes over the serger and all of the different ways to use it. A serger is more than just finishing the edge. Although we will go over that as well. There are so many different ways to use a serger in your sewing projects!
You can join this class in person or virtually!
If you will be joining us virtually I will have a small supply list for you to gather a few days before class. Also just let me know what serger you have at home and will be using when you sign up. We will conduct the virtual class over zoom.
We will make samples of the following things only using a serger
2. Gathering and sewing at the same time
3. Attaching elastic with the regular foot.
4. Attaching elastic with an elastic foot
5. Blind hem
6. Attaching lace
7. Rolled hem
8. Corners and curves
10. Cover Stitch
11. Attaching beads
12. Attaching Piping
All Supplies are included in the class. All you need to do is show up! Unless you are virtually taking the class.
This class is limited to 6 people so make sure to sign up early! The studio is spaced out so that social distancing is followed. You must follow all regulations by wearing a face mask at all time and using hand sanitizer and keeping your space wiped down. Everyone will have a special station with a sewing machine and a serger. If you would like an embroidery or cover stitch machine set up for your project just let me know ahead of time.
