Every Sunday we will feature one of my favorite hangout spots in Chicago. Today, I introduce you to The Broken Shaker located in the Freehand Hotel. I checked this place out last Thursday, after grabbing coffee with my best friend Sean Moran at the hotel. We started talking with The Broken Shaker’s Bar Manager, Frankie, who let us get a sneak peak of the bar’s decor. I was so intrigued by the decor that I went back to The Broken Shaker later that day and had a of couple delicious drinks. The first drink I had was The Cobbler, which I highly recommend, and for my second drink I asked for the bartender’s recommendation. He made me a drink with my favorite liquor and I loved it! I didn’t try any food from the menu, but I will definitely come back for drinks soon! This quaint, boutique-y type bar is located in Downtown Chicago at 19 E. Ohio Street. The tiki bar atmosphere provides people with the perfect scenery for any occasion. The Broken Shaker Chicago is open 4pm-2am, Monday – Saturday, and Sunday, 4pm-12am. Last call for food is 10pm on Sunday-Thursday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Don’t miss out, it is definitely a hidden gem in Downtown Chicago. Talk to you next Sunday!
